Shinya Asami, Chief Ecology Officer / President
Shinya Asami calls himself an "Eco-otaku", which is a Japanese term for "Ecology Nut". He spent his childhood years in Tokyo, Japan during the '60s when the country was undergoing a massive stride of industrialization and economic development. During that time, environmental stewardship was totally neglected by the authorities and industries of all levels and sorts. He witnessed horrifying evidences of environmental degradation and human tragedies. That lead to the realization of how sensitive the environment is and the importance of maintaining the balance of nature's biological system.

In recent years, he finds striking similarities between a "spiritual quest" and "being an environmentalist." Shinya believes that the core value, which is shared by all environmentalists, and the ability to realize it without any external help, is the "god given" natural quality whose purpose is to guide and save the specie from self-destruction.

He has made a personal promise to dedicate his entire life towards the creation of a sustainable economy and social order based upon "natural capitalism". He hopes to live until the ripe old age of 100 or older in order to see a petroleum-free world.

Shinya's professional background includes accomplished graphic designer, professional chef and cooking instructor who was once chosen as one of the five remarkable chefs in the region, solar energy system designer, biodiesel maker, and an inventor.
